LUFC Drury facing spell on the sidelines

Leeds United defender Adam Drury is facing up to two months on the sidelines after suffering an ankle injury in the FA Cup tie at Birmingham City on Tuesday night.

Drury suffered the innocuous injury in the opening ten minutes after he caught his studs in the St Andrews pitch.

Aidy White replaced the defender and Leeds boss Neil Warnock says he is looking at a lengthy lay off. Speaking on the official website, Warnock said, "Adam`s done something similar to what Ross McCormack did earlier in the season.

"He`s wearing a protective cast at the moment and he could be out for a couple of months."

The injury is a blow for Drury who has had a frustrating first season at Elland Road following his summer move from Norwich City.

Drury has made just 12 appearances this season and Tuesday was only his third appearance since the game at Millwall in mid-November.
