LUFC Leeds Loan Watch - Turner gaining plaudits

LUFC Leeds Loan Watch - Turner gaining plaudits

Vital Leeds looks at how the loan players did in the games over the weekend.

Patrick Kisnorbo - Ipswich Town (loan ends January 29th)
After making his debut last weekend in the FA Cup defeat at Aston Villa, Kisnorbo was an unused substitute as Ipswich battled to a 0-0 draw at league leaders Cardiff City.

Zac Thompson - Bury (End of season)
The 20-year-old joined Bury for a second time on loan this week and he is remaining with the League One strugglers for the remainder of the season.

Thompson played the 90 minutes for Bury as they battled to a 1-1 draw at promotion chasing MK Dons.

The midfielder has made 17 appearances for Bury since originally arriving at Gigg Lane in October.

Robbie Rogers - Stevenage (loan ends Jan 15th)
Rogers was once again left out of the Stevenage squad, as they were beaten 2-1 at home by Doncaster.

Rogers is due back at Elland Road this week having made just 9 appearances since joining Stevenage in August with only three of them being starts.

The winger remains on the transfer list.

Ross Killock - Alfreton Town (loan ends Feb 2nd)
A quick catch up with midweek first. Killock played the 90 minutes on Tuesday night, as they were beaten 2-1 at home by promotion chasing Wrexham, this despite Wrexham being reduced to ten men for most of the second half.

On Saturday, Killock was ruled out through injury and he missed the 3-3 draw at Hereford United.

The 19-year-old, who recently extended his loan, has made 18 appearances with17 starts since joining them in October.

Alex Cairns - Stalybridge Celtic
In midweek, Celtic beat Bishop Stortford 3-1 at home with Cairns playing the full game.

Having moved into the play-off places in midweek, Celtic were beaten 2-1 at home by Corby on Saturday to drop to seventh. Cairns once again played the full 90 minutes.

The 20-year-old has played 28 times for Celtic this season, keeping 7 clean sheets and he has started every game since his arrival in August.

Nathan Turner - Chester FC (loan ends Jan 26th)
In midweek, Nathan played the 90 minutes and he played his part as Chester beat Oxford City 2-1 at the Deva Stadium.

In a game that kicked off at 8.30pm due to Oxford being stuck in traffic, Turner set up Nathan Jarman for the second ball with what was described as a 'lovely ball` by the Chester official website.

Having had a slow start to his time at Chester, Nathan is now a regular in the starting eleven and he once again completed 90 minutes as they won 6-0 at Hinckley United.

Chester scored three in each half with Nathan winning the man of the match award on the Chester official website and he came close to scoring when firing just wide.

Nathan has now made seven appearances since joining them in November and he has scored one goal.
