LUFC Becchio to bash Barnsley?

LUFC Becchio to bash Barnsley?

Leeds United are favourites to take the points in the Yorkshire derby this afternoon when they travel to Oakwell for a game with managerless Barnsley.

Bookmakers Paddypower have Leeds at 11/8 to take the three points and keep up their push for a play-off place.

Barnsley are currently bottom of the Championship and currently have David Flitcroft in temporary charge. The tykes progressed in the FA Cup last weekend under Flitcroft and they have a great recent record against Leeds at home, having scored nine goals in the last two meetings.

Barnsley are 2/1 to claim the three points and it is 11/5 on the draw.

Barnsley will be looking for someone to step up in the goalscoring stakes after selling leading goalscorer Craig Davies in the week.

Experienced striker Marlon Harewood has netted just twice this season and he is 13/2 to score the opener this afternoon.

With Davies gone, midfielder Stephen Dawson is now the leading goalscorer at the club with four goals. He has netted three times in the last eight games and he is 16/1 to score first.

Leeds striker Luciano Becchio needs just one goal for twenty for the season. The Argentinian striker has scored in the last two meetings between the clubs and he is 4/1 to score first.

Michael Tonge returned to the club this week on a permanent basis after spending three months on loan at Elland Road in the first half of the season.

Tonge netted five times in twenty-two appearances in that spell and he is 14/1 to open the scoring.
