LUFC Can Leeds grab Yorkshire bragging rights?

Leeds United return to championship action this weekend with a Yorkshire derby at Barnsley.

The game comes after the busy festive period and their FA Cup clash with Birmingham City last weekend.

After seven games in sixteen days, Leeds have had a week to prepare for the trip as they look to make a push for the play-off places in 2013.

Leeds come into the game having won six of their last nine in the championship but they have won just once on their travels in their last nine on the road.

The last time Leeds kicked off at 3pm on a Saturday was at Bristol City in September, a game they won 3-2.

Leeds have had just three away games this season kick off at 3pm and they have won two out of three.

At the time of print, Barnsley are still without a manager after sacking Keith Hill over the festive period.

They did progress in the FA Cup last weekend when they beat Burnley 1-0 at home.

Barnsley have a great recent record against Leeds at Oakwell. They have lost just one of the last six encounters at home and have scored twelve goals in the last three games.

Leeds won 1-0 when the two sides met at Elland Road in October and are aiming for their first double over the tykes since the 1997/98 season.

So what do you think?

Can Leeds complete a rare double and continue their push for the play-off places or will managerless Barnsley continue their good run against Leeds at Oakwell.

You can make your prediction at the bottom right hand side of this page.
