LUFC Leeds Transfer Rumours - Dec 31st - Jan 6th
Vital Leeds United continue to keep you up to date with all the rumours doing the rounds of the possible coming and goings during the January transfer window.
After a busy first week when Leeds were linked with a host of players it has been relatively quiet since the transfer window actually opened.
Following on from the first week, Leeds are still be reported as trying to sort out a deal to bring Michael Tonge back to the club and the rumours surrounding Nottingham Forest striker Dexter Blackstock continue to mount.
Sky Sports reported at the end of the week that Leeds had actually approached Forest about the services of the striker.
The week started with Leeds once again being linked with Queens Park Rangers duo Clint Hill and Shaun Derry.
The duo were both linked with a move to Elland Road in the summer and The Sun have reported that Neil Warnock is ready to make another move for the two who played for him during his time at both Crystal Palace and Queens Park Rangers.
Leeds revealed themselves that they missed out on West Brom striker Chris Wood, who decided to sign for Leicester City.
Neil Warnock admitted that they could not match the offer made to him by Leicester. Shame we still do not seem to have any financial clout, despite the takeover, with Wood scoring three times in his first two games for Leicester.
The clubs coming into the race to sign youngster Sam Byram continue to grow.
Six Premier League sides have now been linked with a move for Byram with Wigan Athletic, Southampton, Fulham and Norwich City the latest clubs to be linked.
All the rumours that I put up have been in the national press, local press or websites such as Skysports.com, Clubcall.com, and Teamtalk.com amongst others and not from sites where people just put up their wish list and make out that they have inside knowledge through their best mate`s uncle`s brother.
Once again, if anybody reads anything then please let me know on the Vital Leeds forum.
