LUFC Defender makes loan move

LUFC Defender makes loan move

Leeds United defender Patrick Kisnorbo has signed for fellow Championship side Ipswich Town on loan.

The Australian international has signed on a one-month loan deal and he will go straight into the Ipswich squad for their FA Cup tie against Aston Villa at the weekend after Leeds gave him permission to play.

The 31 year old has made just one appearance for Leeds this season when he started in the League Cup tie with Oxford United at the end of August.

The likeable defender has struggled with injuries at Elland Road since signing in the summer of 2009.

He made an impressive start to his Leeds career, being an almost ever-present in the side before suffering an Achilles injury in March.

Kisnorbo didn`t feature for Leeds until the final day of the following season when he made a late cameo appearance at Queens Park Rangers.

He made 21 appearances for Leeds in the first half of last season before a knee injury against Burnley on January 2nd brought a premature end to his season.

He is out of contract at Elland Road this summer.
