LUFC Young trio extend loan deals

On loan Leeds United trio Alex Cairns, Ross Killock and Nathan Turner are to extend their loan deals away from Elland Road.

All three are coming to the end of their current deals and they will stay on with their respective clubs gaining valuable first team experience.

Goalkeeper Cairns has been with Blue Square North Division side Stalybridge Celtic since August and he has started all 25 games during his time there.

Cairns made a bad start to 2013 when he was sent off for Celtic in the 2-1 defeat to Altrincham on Tuesday in what appears to be a case of mistaken identity by the referee. Celtic defender Kelvin Bleau brought down Altrincham striker Damien Reeves but the referee showed a straight red card to Cairns.

The young goalkeeper celebrates his 20th birthday this Friday.

Defender Ross Killock has been a regular for Blue Square Premier League side Alfreton Town since joining them in October. Killock has played in all but one game, making 14 appearances.

Midfielder Nathan Turner is finally working his way into the Chester side.

Turner started his first game on New Year`s Day and he scored what proved to be the winner in a 4-3 win over Droylsden. He has now made four appearances for Chester since joining them in November as they continue to dominate the Blue Square North Division.

Both Killock and Turner have extended their loan deals by a further month.
