LUFC Warnock - Best week since I came here

Leeds United boss Neil Warnock says it has been his best week at the club since taking over the reins in February.

Warnock watched his Leeds side put one over former boss Simon Grayson as Leeds won the local bragging rights over West Yorkshire neighbours Huddersfield 4-2.

Leeds went into last weekend on the back of seven games without a win and they faced a tricky week, with games against leaders Crystal Palace and third placed Leicester City at Elland Road before finishing off the week with the local derby.

Even the most optimistic of people involved with Leeds would have never have thought they would have come out of the three games with maximum points and Warnock admits it is the best week he has had since arriving at the club. Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Warnock said, "It has been a great week, probably the best since I have been here. It was not just winning the games but the way we have played, we have played really well in the last week."

Over 20,000 were present at the game, Huddersfield`s biggest home crowd since Leeds last visited in February 2010.

Warnock managed Huddersfield for two seasons in the 1990`s and he added that it was great to win the local derby. "It was a great atmosphere. The rivalry is there and it is always good to win derbies and pick up three points."

The three wins in a row is the first time that Leeds have achieved the feat since winning three in a row in December 2010, in their first season back in the championship.

Leeds travel to Derby County next weekend looking to make it four in a row, something they haven`t achieved since November 2009.
