LUFC Becchio walking disciplinary tightrope

LUFC Becchio walking disciplinary tightrope

Leeds United striker Luciano Becchio is the latest player to be walking a disciplinary tightrope.

Becchio picked up his fourth yellow card of the season following his foul that led to the Huddersfield penalty and he is now just one away from an automatic one-match suspension.

The Argentinian striker is back on form for Leeds and he made it four goals in three games with two against Huddersfield to take his seasons tally to fourteen.

Jason Pearce and Luke Varney are also on four yellow cards this season.

Pearce and Varney have just served three-match suspensions for their sending-offs against Watford and Millwall respectively.

Michael Brown is the only Leeds player so far this season to serve a one-match suspension for picking up five yellow cards.

The trio will have to avoid a booking between now and the New Year to escape a one-match suspension.

*One match ban for five yellow cards picked up on or before December 31st.

**Two match ban for ten yellow cards picked up on or before April 6th.

***Three match ban for fifteen yellow cards picked up at any time during the season.
