LUFC Warnock hoping to bring in one or two

Leeds United boss Neil Warnock is hoping to be able to bring in one or two players this week ahead of the loan transfer window closing.

The loan transfer window closes this Thursday until the New Year and Warnock is desperate to add to his squad.

Leeds have now gone seven games without a win and with Crystal Palace, Leicester and Huddersfield the next three games, things don`t get any easier.

The Leeds boss stated last week that current chairman Ken Bated and future owners GFH Capital were unwilling to finance any new signings but Warnock says he is hoping for some good news.

Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Warnock said, "Next few games now we have Palace, Leicester and then Huddersfield. We all have to stand up and be counted and hopefully we will have some good news and be able to bring one or two in."


Warnock lost Luke Varney on Sunday for three games following his sending off against Millwall in the 1-0 defeat.

He joins Jason Pearce on the sidelines through suspension, with the defender serving the first of his three-match suspension on Sunday following his sending off against Watford last week.

Warnock has been linked with a number of players in the past week with Stoke duo Cameron Jerome and Ryan Shotton being linked with a move to Elland Road as well as QPR defender Clint Hill.
