LUFC Warnock - On loan duo would still not feature

Leeds United boss Neil Warnock says he would still be unlikely to use youngsters Dominic Poleon and Zac Thompson at this moment in time if they were back at Elland Road.

The duo have both impressed during their initial months loan with League One side Bury and with Leeds having now gone six games without a win, a number of supporters would like to see the youngsters given a chance at Elland Road.

Despite being without Rodolph Austin for the trip to Millwall and the strikers misfiring at the moment, Warnock still feels he would not use them.

Speaking on LUTV, Warnock said, "The lads who I have out on loan really need games. I would rather have Dominic Poleon and Zac Thompson playing games on Saturday and have five subs on Sunday.

"I think those two lads need games and they would not affect the team I have in my mind for Sunday."

Poleon has netted twice in seven games since his move to Gigg Lane and his pace has been a constant thorn for opposition players.

He has netted on his only start for Leeds this season in the 2-1 win over Nottingham Forest.

Thompson has had a mixed time. He scored on his debut in the 1-1 draw with Carlisle United but he was then suspended for three games, for a two-footed lunge in the game at Yeovil Town next time out. Since his return, he has impressed in the Bury midfield with the League One strugglers winning both their games.

The duo, who are both 19, are due to return to Elland Road after their game at Colchester United today but Bury boss Kevin Blackwell is keen to extend the deal.
