LUFC Diouf talks on-going

LUFC Diouf talks on-going

Leeds United boss Neil Warnock says negotiations with El Hadji Diouf are continuing after the Senegal international turned down the original offer made to him by the club.

The former African footballer of the year has been with Leeds on a short-term deal since originally joining in August.

Diouf is out of contract in January and Warnock and Leeds are in talks with the player and his agent Willie McKay about a new deal at Elland Road.

Speaking on LUTV, Warnock said, "We have offered him a new contract and they said the original offer was nowhere near enough, but I would expect that.

"We are going to discuss it again over the next few weeks."

Diouf has played in all 19 of Leeds games since arriving on the eve of the first game of the season against Shrewsbury Town, scoring five goals.
