LUFC Warnock - Lees could be back for Millwall

Leeds United boss Neil Warnock says he hopes to have Tom Lees available for the game with Millwall on November 18th.

Lees was forced to miss the midweek defeat at Burnley after picking up an eye injury in the game with Brighton last Friday.

The defender needed hospital treatment after being poked in the eye and Warnock says the injury is not as bad as first feared. Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Warnock said, "I am hoping he will be back for consideration for the Millwall clash.

"It sounded bad when they told me he had a hole in his retina but apparently it is common when you get a finger nail pushed in your eye, but it is supposed to heal quite quickly and he will step up his training next week."

His absence at Burnley on Tuesday was the first game he had missed since missing the opening game of the season against Shrewsbury Town in the League Cup.

Lees returned as a substitute in the first championship game of the season against Wolverhampton Wanderers the following week and he had started every game since until Tuesday night.

With the defender set to miss the home game with Watford on Saturday, Jason Pearce once again looks set to be partnered in the centre of defence by Lee Peltier.
