LUFC Brown walking disciplinary tightrope

LUFC Brown walking disciplinary tightrope

Michael Brown is the latest Leeds United player to move one yellow card away from an automatic one-match suspension.

Brown picked up a yellow card in the 2-2 draw at Brighton and Hove Albion on Friday night and now joins Jason Pearce on four yellow cards this season.

Any player picking up five yellow cards before January 1st will serve a one-match suspension.

Brown was lucky not to get a second yellow card on Friday night for a tug close to the area having already been booked.

The veteran midfielder was heavily involved and it was his shot, which brought Leeds level for a second time.

Brown`s only previous goal for Leeds was against Nottingham Forest last season and he was desperate to claim this one despite it going in off the chest of Luciano Becchio.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Brown said, "He`s got too many already. I don`t get many, so he will definitely not be getting this one."

Unfortunately for Brown, he is still looking for his second goal for Leeds, with the goal being credited to Becchio, for the striker`s eleventh goal of the season.
