LUFC Poyet unhappy after Leeds penalty

Brighton and Hove Albion manager Gus Poyet says Leeds boss Neil Warnock should deal with Luke Varney after accusing him of diving for the penalty that brought Leeds level.

Poyet seemed incensed after his side twice let the lead slip to have to settle for a point in a 2-2.

The former Leeds assistant boss was especially critical of Luke Varney after he won Leeds the penalty that brought Leeds level and he feels manager Warnock should deal with him.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Poyet said, "There was one team playing football, one team going forward and another team gets lucky.

"I am glad the penalty was one of his players and not one of ours. Warnock would absolutely destroy my player for diving the way that Varney dived.

"It is disappointing when I don`t say nice things but I think he should ban him or fine him for diving. If he wants other players dealing with for diving then he should deal with his player."

Warnock felt it was a penalty and he felt that referee Lee Mason had a good game, in a game where he gave three penalties.

'Varney got pushed, he did not dive. Gus is not happy because he wants to win a game of football.

'The referee didn't get much wrong. He's done well. It was a quick game,"
said Warnock.

I am sure that I was watching the same game as Mr. Poyet then this is my version here; EHD was pushed down earlier before this penalty incident and it was not noted by the referee ... As we all know nowadays referees tend to make amends afterwards if they feel so 'cause radio ear pieces between the four of them. So it wasn't Mr. Varney going down earlier it was only justified decision of earlier incident in the game. Tare
