LUFC Lees charged by Serbian Police

Leeds United defender Tom Lees is reported to be one of two England under 21 players being charged by Serbian Police for their part in the fracas that followed the play-off game in Krusevac.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Steven Caulker is the other played named as well as coach Steve Wigley.

The Police have charged twelve people with 'an act of violence during a football match.`

The altercation happened after former Leeds United academy player Danny Rose accused the home supporters of racial abuse and chanting during the game.

The incident saw players and staff from both countries involved in an on the pitch altercation.

The English FA were quick to defend their players after the news on Tuesday that the Police were charging two England players and they have been in contact with the British government for advice on the matter.

The Police have also charged five Serbian players as well as coaching staff from both sides.

Serbian Police are expected to hand over the charges to the British judicial authorities.

Both nations have been charged by UEFA for their part in the altercation.
