LUFC Leeds Fans View v Charlton

LUFC Leeds Fans View v Charlton

Vital Leeds United contributor Tiny T gives us his usual fans view from the game at Elland Road.

This time it is after the 1-1 draw with Charlton Athletic.

Kenny 6
Stood no chance with the goal and a world class save at the end, kicking game poor though.

Byram 6
Solid enough at the back but did not get forward enough. When he did we looked dangerous.

Lees 6
Decent enough and kept the forwards quiet but distribution poor.

Pearce 6
Like his partner solid but again distribution poor.

Green 5
Reasonable game and he tracked back but he offered little going forward.

Brown 4
Ok first half but disappeared in the second. Time for a change he is over the hill.

Norris 6 Star man
Well taken goal and involved in all we did well, but no help from those around him.

Varney 2
Won the odd header but he is really a waste of space, why does Warnock keep giving him a chance.

Diouf 6
Odd flashes but it is not all about him.

Becchio 4
Little to work off when it is coming in over his head against a 6ft 5 defender.

White 3

Offered no change and on recent performances does he deserve his place.

Tonge 3
He changed little when he came on.

Gray 3
Like Becchio, nothing to work off.

A poor game against a poor side who looked ok playing against us as we were awful yet again and but for a world class stop at the end we would have lost.

No thought, midfield passed by or missing, tactics poor as we went route one most of the night, with the strike force getting little ball and the middle of the park lacking ideas or movement.

Subs were predictable as both White and Tonge warmed up for 30 minutes before coming on.

We needed an injection of pace and help foe Becchio upfront and we introduced two players who haven't really done anything in recent games.

Would have liked to have seen Hall who is pacey, given a run, has Charlton were ponderous when we played it on the ground.

Varney yet again proved he`s no confidence whatsoever. Diouf for once produced little decent ball in from set pieces, a defence with little in front of them offering for the ball, resulted in launching it.

Warnock needs to get some pace and width into the side as we play too slow and need someone who can get in behind.

Looking forward it cannot get any worse can it?
