LUFC White - We Can Grind Out Results

Aidy White believes the Leeds United side can continue to grind out results when not playing well.

Leeds are now unbeaten in six games after picking up a point in the 1-1 draw at Sheffield Wednesday on Friday night, in a game where they were well under par for much of the game.

White believes the side are capable of continuing to grind out results when not on top form. Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, White said, "Sometimes football is like that. You are not always going to be fantastic on the day and you do have to grind out results.

"We have a team and a manager who are capable of doing that."

Leeds have not been on top form in their last three games against Bolton Wanderers, Barnsley and now Sheffield Wednesday and have been outplayed for much of the first half in all three games. Despite this, Leeds have still managed to pick up five points from a possible nine to remain unbeaten.

White will now be hoping Leeds can put behind them their poor midweek form when Charlton Athletic visit Elland Road on Tuesday night.

Leeds have picked up just two points from their last eight midweek Championship games and they have not won since their 4-0 win at Nottingham Forest last November.

They have won just three of their twenty-two midweek games since their promotion back to the Championship in 2010.

Leeds last midweek home win was in August 2011 when they defeated Hull City 4-1.

Let us hope that White and the team can grind out three points if need be against Charlton and continue their push towards the play-off places under Neil Warnock.
