Ryan Hall says it is a massive chance for him to show people what he can do after signing for Leeds United.
Hall has signed for Leeds on an initial loan deal until January with a view to a permanent deal and the player, who started out at Crystal Palace with Leeds boss Neil Warnock is looking forward to a second chance under his former boss.
Warnock released Hall from Palace after the then 20 year old got into trouble off the pitch.
Hall, who is now 24, is ready to grab his second chance with both hands. "I`ve been given a second chance by the gaffer and I want to take it with both hands," Hall told the official website.
The winger found himself in non-league football with Bromley and his form saw him selected for the England C squad.
His form saw League Two side Southend United Sign him in the summer of 2010.
In his two full seasons at Roots Hall, he netted 23 goals and was one of the leaders in the country for assists to goals.
Last season, his 25 assists were the most by any player in the Football League.
Hall is now hoping to prove himself in the championship with Leeds United. "It`s a great step and hopefully I can show people what I can do. It`s a massive chance for me," continued Hall.
Leeds have beaten off competition from fellow championship sides Blackpool and Peterborough United for his signature.
He had made just three appearances for Southend this season after a falling out with manager Paul Sturrock after failing to secure a move away from the club.
Hall hasn`t featured since August after a proposed move to Blackpool in September fell through, Southend Chairman Ron Martin said at the time that the player was no longer welcome at the club.
Hall is available for Leeds trip to Sheffield Wednesday on Friday night and he is expected to be named amongst the substitutes.
