I take a bit of snap and a small flask of hot chocolate for me and my lad in a small bag. By the time you have bought a drink each and a couple of bits and pieces each it adds up. I also have programme subscription as you save about 15% on programmes and any cup games you get the programme for free, but the downside of the subscription is that my postman doesn't turn up until about 1300 on a Saturday so sometimes don't get them in time if he is running late, but don't expect to get them on time for midweek games as you have no chance. For a Tuesday night fixture your programme doesn't turn up until Thursday.

On the back of the above survey by the BBC, Talk-sport did a good show last night about the rising cost of matches, season tickets, programmes & food etc. One Everton fan rung up the show and explained that he and his son paid just over £500 for him and his son season tickets for their family stand and for that price they are seeing games against Scum, Pool, Arsenal, Chelsea etc. He thought that this was great value. I pay £750 for me and my lad in family stand (cheapest option available) & although we have plenty of local/Northern fixtures which are great at times the gulf between Everton prices and Leeds are pretty big to say we are a lower league. He also went on to say that he attended the capital One Cup game at ER and said that he was gobbed smacked at having to pay 4 quid for a match day programme, which he went on to describe as more like a builders catalogue. Made me chuckle anyway....
