LUFC Debut Goal for Thompson

Leeds United midfielder Zac Thompson marked his debut for Bury with a goal in their game with Carlisle United.

Thompson and fellow Leeds striker Dominic Poleon both joined former Leeds boss Kevin Blackwell at Gigg Lane earlier this week on an initial one-month loan deal to gain some regular first team experience.

The duo both started and were involved in the Bury goal on 36 minutes to give the shakers the lead.

Poleon played the ball into Thompson who scored from the edge of the penalty area.

Thompson completed the 90 minutes whilst Poleon completed 85 minutes before being substituted.

Bottom of League One Bury were denied a crucial three points when Carlisle scored in the final minute of the game to earn a 1-1 draw.

They remain rooted to the bottom of League One with just five points from their opening twelve league games.

Both will hope to be involved again when they travel to Yeovil Town at the weekend and Vital Leeds will keep you up to date with how the duo do during their month with Bury.
