Leeds United midfielder Michael Brown says he is enjoying his run in the first team in the past few games.
The veteran midfielder has started the last three games after struggling for a place in the side in the opening months of the season.
The 35 year old has come into the side following the injury to David Norris.
Brown says he is enjoying the run and says he was ready to step in when needed. Speaking on LUTV, Brown said, "It takes a little bit of time to get some games in and get used to the pace but you have to be ready all the time for whenever the manager needs you.
"I am always ready and I am enjoying the games I am getting at the moment."
Brown signed a new one-year deal with the club in the summer after impressing following the arrival of Warnock in February.
The two worked together previously at Sheffield United and after Brown had struggled at Elland Road following his arrival from Portsmouth in the summer of 2011; Brown enjoyed a regular place in the side under Warnock.
Brown started Warnock`s first ten games before his sending off in the home game with Derby County in April. He returned for the final game of the season following his suspension.
He was a late substitute in Leeds opening game of the season against Shrewsbury Town and he started the game against Oxford United at the end of August before enjoying his recent run in the side.
Brown is likely to start the game with Barnsley on Saturday, with Warnock not wanting to risk the returning David Norris until after the international break.
He could face even more competition once the side return from the break with fellow midfielder Paul Green also closing in on a return to the first team.
