LUFC Warnock praises fans on miserable night

Leeds United boss Neil Warnock was full of praise once again for the fans that made the trip over the Pennines for the game at Bolton Wanderers on Tuesday night.

4,000 Leeds fans turned out on a miserable night in Lancashire, with torrential rain around the area in the hours preceding kick off.

Warnock has continued to be staggered by the size of the Leeds following since his arrival at Elland Road in February and he says they are a huge lift for the players and staff at the club. Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Warnock said, "They turned out on a miserable night. As always, they sing their hearts out and it is great for the players and the staff."

Like me, the Leeds fans come from all areas of the UK to follow the club.

I travel with the Thames Valley Whites and we were returning to the Oxfordshire and Berkshire region in the early hours of this morning.

Leeds continue to sell out their away allocations and the allocation of around 5,000 tickets have already been sold for the trip to Sheffield Wednesday in Leeds next away game, despite it being shown live on Sky TV.
