Tonge joined Leeds recently on loan until December from Stoke City and he has started all five of Leeds games since his arrival.
The midfielder joined Stoke in the summer of 2008 for £2,000,000 from Sheffield United and he has made just five starts in eighteen appearances for the club since.
Tonge is now enjoying regular football at Leeds and he says he has a real buzz for the game again. Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Tonge said, "I have really got a buzz back for playing football and it was what I needed. I have come in and we have had five games in a short space of time.
Tonge scored his first goal for Leeds in the win at Bristol City at the weekend, to make it three wins in a week for Leeds and he says the club are now in form ahead of the game with Bolton Wanderers on Tuesday night. "It has been fantastic and we have managed to put three wins together in a row and we are now on a bit of a roll and hopefully we can take that into Tuesday night," added Tonge.
He is once again working with Neil Warnock, the manager who gave him his league debut at Sheffield United just a few weeks past his 18th birthday.
The 29 year old played over 250 times for Warnock during their time together at Bramall Lane, helping them gain promotion to the Premier League in 2006.
Warnock will now be hoping that Tonge can play his part between now and the end of his loan spell as he looks for his record breaking eighth promotion.
