LUFC Blackwell back in management

LUFC Blackwell back in management

Former Leeds United manager Kevin Blackwell is back in football management after being installed the new boss of League One side Bury.

Blackwell was in charge at Elland Road in Leeds first season in the Championship following their relegation from the Premier League.

With the club in turmoil, Blackwell managed to stabilise the side in the Championship.

The following season he led Leeds to the Play off final against Watford. Leeds failed to turn up on the day and were defeated 3-0.

Blackwell was sacked as Leeds boss in September of the following season with Leeds second from bottom after a poor start.

A short spell followed at Luton Town before he took over at Sheffield United in 2008.

Blackwell again led a side to the Championship play-off final in his first full season in charge but once again fell at the final hurdle when they were defeated 1-0 by Burnley.

He has been without a manager`s job since August 2010 when Sheffield United dismissed him.

Blackwell takes over at Bury with the side bottom of League One.
