LUFC Warnock - We are nowhere near adding to squad

Leeds United boss Neil Warnock says he is not even close to bringing in a player on loan.

Warnock is desperate to add to his small squad and he has been dealt a huge blow with the news that striker Ross McCormack will be out for between six to eight weeks with the ankle injury he picked up at the weekend.

The Leeds boss said in an interview on Monday that he was hopeful of bringing in someone before the game with Nottingham Forest at the weekend but he now admits that he is nowhere near adding to his squad. Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Warnock said, ""When you look around all the best players are gone. I have spoken to about ten in the past 24 hours but we are not even close to bringing in a player, we are not even warm.

"All we have had is, no, no, no, not possible and we can`t let him go.

"There was about four or five players we could have had but they have all gone to other championship clubs now."

Leeds faltering start to the season continued on Tuesday night with a 3-2 home defeat to Hull City.

Warnock will be praying that leading goalscorer Luciano Becchio is ok after the Argentinian striker went off just a few minutes after suffering an injury in the second half and he will not be added to the ever-growing injury list.
