Austin - We need to work hard and keep believing

Leeds United midfielder Rodolph Austin says the players will just have to work hard and keep believing after suffering their second defeat of the season at Cardiff City on Saturday.

Austin returned to Leeds after a long-haul flight whilst on international duty with Jamaica in the last week and he certainly did not look like he was suffering from jet lag, as he put in another hard working performance that is quickly endearing him to the Leeds faithful.

The midfielder got Leeds back into the game with a well struck free kick from range, his second goal of the week after scoring a free kick for Jamaica in the win over USA a week earlier in a World Cup qualifier.

Austin now feels they will have to dust themselves down and work hard to get back to winning ways as they still have three championship games before the end of the month and Austin says they will be aiming to win them all. Speaking on LUTV, Austin said, "It was a good game. We were in it for a long time and were unfortunate to concede the two goals but that is how football goes sometimes.

"We will just have to work on things and get back to winning ways as soon as possible.

"We will just have to give it our all and hope for a maximum nine points. We just have to keep believing and push on."

Leeds now have two home games in the next week, with Hull City visiting Elland Road on Tuesday night before Nottingham Forest arrive the following Saturday.

They will be looking to maintain their unbeaten start to the season at Elland Road, after defeating Wolves and drawing with Blackburn Rovers in their first two home championship games.
