LUFC Lees - It was a great experience

Young Leeds United defender Tom Lees says it was a great experience after making his England under 21 debut on Monday night.

Lees came on for the final thirteen minutes of the game at Chesterfield as England won 1-0 against Norway to book their place in the play offs for a place in next year`s finals in Israel.

The 21 year old spoke to LUTV on his return to training on Tuesday and he was delighted with the experience. "It has been a surreal experience. I only got the call up on Wednesday and I was down there on Friday.

"It is a really good experience for me to train and be around some of the country`s best young players.

"It was a fantastic learning experience and to be coached by Stuart Pearce and his team for a few days was really good and training with some of the best talent in England was really good. It was a good experience and to get a cap just topped it off."

Lees will now hope to be included in the squad for the two-legged play off in October.

England are amongst the seeded sides in the draw that will take place this Friday.
