'If It's Football, It's Vital'

LUFC Leeds v Blackburn Team News

Leeds United boss Neil Warnock is waiting on the fitness of David Norris ahead of the clash with Blackburn Rovers this weekend.

Norris was forced to miss the League cup-tie with Oxford on Tuesday night and the midfielder has not yet returned to training.

Warnock rested a number of first team players for the game with Oxford with Paddy Kenny, Lee Peltier, Luke Varney, Ross McCormack and Luciano Becchio all rested.

Sam Byram will be hoping to retain his starting place after another impressive performance in midweek. The young right sided player scored his first goal for the club in midweek after dropping to the bench last weekend.

It is still unclear whether El Hadji Diouf will still be with the club for the weekend. The player, who is at the club on a non-contract basis is currently mulling over a deal with the club with a number of other clubs looking to sign the Senegal international.

Leeds will definitely be without long-term injured Paul Green, Leigh Bromby and Davide Somma.

Blackburn could hand a debut to new signing Jordan Rhodes. The striker has completed a 8 million move from Huddersfield Town today.

Fellow strikers Colin Kazim Richards is touch and go for the clash after missing the last two games and Leon Best is a long-term absentee.
