Leeds United will find out their next opponents when the draw for the Third Round of the Capital One League Cup takes place on Thursday evening.
The draw will take place on Sky Sports 1 following the conclusion of the second round clash between Northampton Town and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Leeds booked their place in round three with a comprehensive 3-0 home win against Oxford United on Tuesday evening.
The draw will be an open draw with no seeding or regionalisation and it will also see the introduction of the seven Premier League sides who are involved in European competitions.
Last season, Leeds went out in the third round when they were beaten 3-0 at home by old foes Manchester United.
Leeds last win in the third round was in 2008 when they defeated Hartlepool United 3-2 at Elland Road before eventually going out to Derby County 2-1 at Pride Park in round four.
There are still two ties outstanding from the second round, with Leyton Orient travelling to Everton this evening and the tie at Northampton tomorrow night.
There are definitely 13 sides from outside the Premier League still involved in the competition. As well as Leeds, there are Burnley, Middlesbrough and Sheffield Wednesday from the championship. There are also seven League One and two League Two sides confirmed in the draw.
Sides remaining in the competition:
Premier League:
Arsenal, Aston Villa, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Newcastle United, Norwich City, Queens Park Rangers, Reading, Tottenham Hotspur, Southampton, Sunderland, Swansea, West Brom, West Ham and Wigan.
Championship

League Two

Third round ties will be played week commencing September 24th.
