Steve Hodge salvages a point for Leeds late on after David Hirst had fired Sheffield Wednesday ahead.
Gordon Strachan is on target for Leeds in a 2-1 defeat. Leeds never recover after Jon Newsome scores an own goal in the opening minutes.
Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink scores the only goal of the game as Leeds win their first home game of the season against Blackburn Rovers 1-0.

Davide Somma scores on his first start for Leeds against Leicester City in the League Cup but the visitors come from behind to win 2-1.
