LUFC Warnock to show doom and gloom merchants

LUFC Warnock to show doom and gloom merchants

Neil Warnock says he is ready to show the doom and gloom merchants who have been unhappy with his signings this summer.

Warnock has brought in eleven new players this season but he says the majority of the Leeds fans responding to a question on where Leeds will finish in the championship this season in a local paper, were all doom and gloom.

The Leeds boss says he had a similar response from the QPR fans in his first summer at Loftus Road before leading them to the championship title in 2010/11.

Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Warnock said, "I was reading the local paper this morning and they were asking, where will Leeds finish this season?

"I don`t think there was anybody was saying top six, they were all saying mid-table. They were all doom and gloom about a team of also ran`s that I have signed. It was like when I signed Shaun Derry, Clint Hill and Paddy Kenny at QPR. Terrible signings they were for QPR fans at the time."
Warnock`s record in the Football League is second to none, having enjoyed seven promotions in his management career.

The no nonsense manager as always liked to surround himself with players who he knows will run through brick walls for him rather than a squad of big time Charlie`s.

He has once again signed goalkeeper Paddy Kenny, the fourth time in his management career.

Whilst most of the players signed are not household names, they are definitely what you would call a 'Neil Warnock type of player`.

After many years of watching players turn out at Elland Road who seem happy just to turn up and take their wages the one thing Leeds fans will be certain of this season is players giving 100% under Warnock and who knows where that will lead us.
