Warnock must move players on to bring anymore in

Leeds United boss Neil Warnock says the club must move on players before he can bring anyone else into the squad.

Warnock has admitted that he is desperate for another striker and a right-winger to add to the ten players he has already brought in this summer but he says he says he cannot bring them in until he has moved on some of the current squad.

Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Warnock said, "I think we have to move players on first to be able to bring players in. You can see we need another striker, we just need to fund it."

Leeds still have transfer listed Paul Rachubka, Paul Connolly, Ramon Nunez and Billy Paynter at the club.

Andy Lonergan, Adam Clayton and Robert Snodgrass have all left for a fee this summer but it seems the pot is suddenly empty and there is still no sign of the supposed takeover materialising at the club.

I know we have brought ten players in this summer but we released eight players who were probably all on good deals. We have got Andy O'Brien off the wage list who must have been amongst the big earners and we have sold Lonergan, Clayton and Snodgrass (apparently for £3 million with £1.5 up front) so once again Mr Bates, Where has all the money gone?' Looks like he will be going nowhere this summer and once again he has hoodwinked the lot of us into a false dawn.

You haven't got any money, you've been living beyond yours means for years and the players released will have barely balanced the books. The 10 coming in have you charging towards the precipice once again.

Norris was offered a staggering 3k a week more than the Owls offered and I suspect that the wages for the others are will be the same. Its the only way you can attract these sort of players but your not on your own theres dozens more teams taking the risk again. One things for sure they have not signed because they want to play for COLIN

Are we expecting money for these players to bring people in or just to free up wages?
