LUFC Brown signs new deal

Leeds United midfielder Michael Brown has signed a new one-year deal with the club.

The midfielder was offered a new deal after coming to the end of his original one-year deal at the end of June.

The 35 year old signed for Leeds last summer from Portsmouth and after a slow start to his Leeds career under Simon Grayson; he became a regular in the side when Neil Warnock took over in February.

Brown missed just three games following the arrival of Warnock through suspension following his sending off against Derby County.

The veteran midfielder made 25 appearances in his first season at Elland Road and he has played in all Leeds six pre-season games so far.

Brown faces strong competition in the midfield this season, with Paul Green, Rodolph Austin and David Norris all signing for the club this summer.
