A look back at what happened on July 26th at Leeds United in recent history.
2006
Leeds lose again in pre-season. Scunthorpe are the latest side to defeat Leeds 2-1 at Glanford Park.
Robbie Blake had given Leeds the lead just before half time but goals either side of half time earned the win for Scunthorpe.
Kevin Nicholls joins Leeds from Luton Town in a deal worth £700,000. The midfielder signing a four-year contract with the club.
Goalkeeper Ian Bennett joins Sheffield United for an undisclosed fee.
2007
Danny Rose became the latest departure from Elland Road to be confirmed after Leeds and Tottenham Hotspur agreed a compensation deal for the youngster.
Rose informed the club that due to the financial difficulties incurred by the club, he was intending to resign from Leeds and find a new team elsewhere.
The Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) have announced that they are confident the current playing squad at Leeds United will finally be paid for the first time in 7 weeks on Friday.
Having agreed to a wage deferral for the last month of the Championship season, the players haven`t been paid for June, prompting a large amount of pressure from the PFA to sort out the financial problems, as the Football League, PFA and administrators alike try to work out the best way forward for the club during the takeover.
2009
Leeds draw their latest pre-season game 1-1 with Premier League side Blackburn Rovers. Jermaine Beckford looks like he has earned Leeds a win until Blackburn equalised from the penalty spot through Paul Gallagher in the final minute.
Team:
Higgs, Crowe (Hughes 56), Marques (Huntington 74), Kisnorbo (Michalik 56), Parker (Sheehan 69), Snodgrass, Delph (Robinson 69), Howson, Johnson (Prutton 74), Beckford (Showunmi 79), Becchio (Grella 79)
2011
Goalkeeper Andy Lonergan completes his move to Leeds from Preston North End.
The 27 year old signing a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
Leeds maintain their unbeaten start to pre-season with a 1-1 draw against Sandefjord in Norway.
Ramon Nunez equalises for Leeds in the final minute after their Norwegian hosts had taken the lead with less than five minutes remaining.
