LUFC Four in on busy day for Warnock

On a busy day for Neil Warnock and Leeds United the club have confirmed that Luke Varney and Rodolph Austin have agreed to join the club.

Varney has agreed a two-year deal at Elland Road.

The 29 year old made 31 appearances for Portsmouth last season having joined them from Derby County last summer.

He had spent much of the previous season on loan with Blackpool in the Premier League. He made 30 appearances in the Premier League and netted five times for Blackpool.

Varney joins Portsmouth teammate Jamie Ashdown and Andy Gray in agreeing to join Leeds today bringing the number of signings by Neil Warnock this summer to seven.

Austin has agreed to sign from Norwegian side SK Brann pending clearance of a work permit.

Austin was allowed to join this week after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season in the weekend win over Aalesund, in a game where he scored from 40 yards.

Brann was expected to want to hold onto Austin until the transfer window opened in Norway on August 1st.

Austin is an experienced Jamaican international who was named the player of the year in Norway last season.

The two make it four signings today for Warnock with goalkeeper Jamie Ashdown and striker Andy Gray also agreeing deals today
