Cardiff Boss After Ricketts
Cardiff boss Dave Jones wants Michael Ricketts to sign a contract when when his current loan deal expires, as well as Jason Koumas.
West Bromwich Albion midfielder Koumas is committed to the Bluebirds until the conclusion of this season while Leeds United striker Ricketts is scheduled to remain until the end of this month.
'The pair are both very happy here and I want to hold onto them,' said Jones. 'Hopefully they'll stay, though I have to accept I've given them each a stage to strut their stuff which is possibly going to attract bigger clubs.
'It doesn't matter what I say, Michael (Ricketts) would go if he wanted to and the same goes with Jason (Koumas).
'The difference with Jason, though, is we have him on loan for the season. He can't go back to play for West Brom, but he could go back in January if they found a buyer for him.
'We'd get first refusal, and a lot depends on whether Jason himself wants to go to the club West Brom have agreed a fee with.'
