LUFC Warnock - Norwich short of Snoddy valuation

LUFC Warnock - Norwich short of Snoddy valuation

Leeds United boss Neil Warnock says the club have received a bid for Robert Snodgrass but it does not meets Leeds valuation of the player.

The club captain is yet to sign the new deal offered to him by Leeds at the end of last season as he waits to see the ambitions of the club in the transfer market this summer before committing himself to the club.

Norwich twice had bids turned down for the Scotland international winger last summer and Warnock says they have once again fallen short of what Leeds think he is worth. Speaking on the official website, Warnock said, "It's been made public that they have bid, but from our own point of view it's not what we're looking for.

'We'd like to keep Rob, and Rob knows that. Whether that will be possible we'll have to wait and see. '

It's difficult when players get their heads turned, but I'd like to keep Rob at the club and that's what I'm trying to do at the moment.

Unless they come up with a valuation that the club thinks is satisfactory then that's what we want to do.'

Snodgrass is moving into the final year of his current deal at Elland Road and Leeds have made him an offer that would make him the highest earner at the club.

Warnock as always admitted that he would like Snodgrass to give him one more year to try to help him see the club promoted to the Premier League.

The Leeds boss as also said that if the club did not look like promotion candidates when the transfer window opened in the New Year then he would make sure he found him a Premier League move.

As well as Norwich fellow Premier League clubs Aston Villa, Newcastle United, Stoke City and West Brom have all been linked with Snodgrass this summer.
