LUFC Austin would like Leeds move

Jamaican international midfielder Rodolph Austin says he would like a move to Leeds United.

Austin was on target for his Norwegian side SK Brann on Sunday in their 6-2 win and speaking on Norwegian TV channel TV2 after the game, Austin Said, "I am 27 years now, and I think the timing is right. It is between the clubs. If I can go to Leeds, that is something I would like.

"I don`t know if this was my last game here, but if it was then it was a perfect way to finish".

Reports broke on Friday that Leeds were interested in taking the Norwegian player of the year to Elland Road.

Austin is in the final year of his current contract at Brann and he enjoyed a trial with Leeds boss Neil Warnock during his time at Queens Park Rangers. Speaking in the Yorkshire Evening Post on Friday, Warnock said, Speaking in the Yorkshire Evening Post, Warnock said, "He`s a player I had at QPR. I had him over for a week and he`s a smashing lad.

'I`ve always liked him, but it`s always been a bit too much money. The last time I spoke to them, it was around the 2m mark.

'But his contract runs out in December and he`s one that we are looking at as well as several others.'

Austin looked emotional after netting his goal in the win over Odd Grenland on Sunday afternoon and he spent time at the end of the game applauded fans on all four sides of the ground.

Leeds have already been reported as having a bid turned down for Austin but they are expected to go back in with another bid for the player who is out of contract in December.
