A look back at what happened on this day in recent history at Leeds United.
We start with birthdays, Leeds transfer listed striker Billy Paynter is 28 today.
2007
Leeds administration saga took another turn as The Football League declined a request from the new owners of Leeds United for their football league share to be transferred, effectively allowing them to start again as a normal league club.
It appears that at the meeting arranged, the clubs administrators, KPMG failed to turn up with no reason given for their absence. This meant that a number of key pieces of documentation were not available and hence no decision was made. Similarly the League have expressed some concern over the administration proceedings as a statement read: 'Additionally, the Board expressed concern at the handling of the whole process by the administrators and the Chairman was instructed to obtain legal advice in that regard.
A statement on leedsunited.com attempted to explain the situation. As it stands, Leeds United 2007 Limited own the entire club with the exception of the 'football shares' which would allow it entry into League One, and that the documentation required by the Football League has now been passed on.
Striker David Healy departs Leeds and signs for Premier League side Fulham.
Fellow striker Robbie Blake also departs Elland Road. Blake signs for Burnley for a second time during his career.
2010
Leeds boss Simon Grayson signs a new three-year deal with the club after leading the side back to the championship in his first full season in charge.
2011
Leeds sign experienced midfielder Michael Brown on a free transfer after he was released by Portsmouth at the end of last season.
After being released by Leeds at the end of last season, Richard Naylor signs for Yorkshire neighbours Doncaster Rovers on a short-term deal.
Defender Patrick Kisnorbo signs a new two-year deal with the club.
Leeds start their pre-season campaign with a 2-0 win at Falkirk. An own goal from Falkirk defender Thomas Scobbie and a Robert Snodgrass start Leeds two game tour of Scotland on a winning note.
