LUFC Trip to the seaside in pre-season

Bridlington Town have announced that Leeds United reserve team boss Neil Redfearn will be taking a squad to play them in a pre-season friendly.

According to Bridlington`s official website, Redfearn will take a under 21 squad for the game on Tuesday July 31st with a 7.30pm kick off.

The game will be a good test for the Leeds youngsters against a Bridlington side that finished last season as runners-up in the North East Counties League Premier Division, scoring 114 goals in their 38 games.

Bridlington play at Queensgate with the ground having a capacity of 3,000.

The first team will be in Norway the following day for their friendly with Sandejford having just completed a week in Cornwall and Devon.

The first team have so far arranged seven pre-season friendlies but they have yet to announce the opposition for the proposed friendly at Elland Road on Friday August 10th.

Friday July 20th - Farsley AFC (a) 7.45pm
Monday July 23rd - Tavistock (a) 7pm
Wednesday July 25th - Bodmin (a) 7pm
Friday July 27th - Torquay United (a) 7pm
Tuesday July 31st - Bridlington Town (a) 7.30pm (under 21 squad)
Wednesday August 1st - Sandejford (Norway 7pm local time)
Saturday August 4th - Preston North End (a) (3pm)
Tuesday August 7th - Burton Albion (a) 7.45pm
