LUFC Former boss on his way back to Elland Road

The championship picture for the 2012/13 season is now complete and former boss Simon Grayson will be making a quick return to Elland Road to face Leeds United.

Grayson, who was sacked by Leeds in January, saw his new club Huddersfield Town clinch promotion to the championship via the play-offs after a dramatic penalty shoot-out win at Wembley over Sheffield United.

Huddersfield eventually won 8-7 on penalties after missing their first three spot kicks.

The result not only means a return for Grayson and his backroom team of Ian Miller and Glynn Snodin but also a West Yorkshire derby against Leeds near neighbours.

Whilst it was a good day for three former Leeds men, it was a bad day for three former players. Michael Doyle, Neil Collins and Richard Cresswell all playing for Sheffield United.

The championship next season will see Leeds face four Yorkshire and four Lancashire derbies.

The fixtures for the 2012/13 season will be released on Monday June 18th at 9am.
