Vital Leeds United is keeping fans up to date with all the latest transfer rumours over the summer with Neil Warnock looking to build a squad capable of mounting a promotion challenge next season.
It took three weeks into the close season, maybe it was the end of the Premier League last weekend, but the Warnock chasing Queens Park Rangers players finally resurfaced.
Goalkeeper Paddy Kenny and defender Clint Hill have both been linked in the last seven days.
Hill is out of contract this summer and he recently picked up their fans player of the year, so he would be a good addition to the Leeds squad.
It does seem that Kenny is surplus to requirements at Loftus Road with Rangers being linked with a number of goalkeepers. He has previously played for Warnock at Bury, Sheffield United and Rangers and he does like to sign players who have played under him previously.
Leeds will probably find out in the next seven days the destination of defender Joel Ward. The Portsmouth defender seemed on the verge of signing for Leeds last week but two more clubs have now thrown their hat into the ring, which probably means he will not sign as he can get a better deal elsewhere.
Out of contract Paul Green at Derby County, is another name that is mentioned almost daily and once again, he has been strongly linked with a move to Elland Road in the last week.
Probably one of the daftest rumours this week was Leeds being linked with injury plagued Michael Owen.
The striker has spent more time on the treatment table than on the pitch in the last ten years and a move for the 32 year old seems out of the question with the sort of wages he would be wanting.
That brings us to those that could be on their way out of Elland Road.
Adam Clayton was placed on the transfer list at the end of the season after turning down a new deal with Leeds.
It has taken three weeks but the rumours have finally started with Bolton Wanderers and Burnley both reportedly interested in the Leeds midfielder.
Probably joining Clayton on the rumour list will be striker Ross McCormack, who looks set to turn down the new deal offered to him by the club.
The clubs leading goalscorer last season with 19 goals has been in negotiations over a new deal at Leeds but Warnock admitted himself in the week that he does not expect him to sign a new deal.
There is still no news with skipper Robert Snodgrass or defender Aidy White and their new deals but it already does not look good.
Warnock stated in the week that he was hoping to bring in two players before going away for his summer holiday on May 25th.
There are just five days to go and the apprehension amongst supporters on what looks like another summer of false dawns will grow by the day this week if no players come into the club.
If you read of any player links in or out of Elland Road then let us know on Vital Leeds.
