LUFC O'Dea included in Eire Euro 2012 squad

Darren O`Dea who spent the season on loan at Leeds United has been included in the Republic of Ireland squad for this summer`s European 2012 finals in the Ukraine and Poland.

O`Dea has recently returned to parent club Glasgow Celtic after making 38 appearances for Leeds this season.

The defender is part of Giovanni Trapattoni`s 23-man squad. A squad that also sees striker Andy Keogh, who spent the first half of the season on loan at Elland Road on the standby list.

Another former Leeds man is also in the squad. Robbie Keane who now plays in the MLS with LA Galaxy will lead the attack for Ireland in the tournament that starts on Friday June 8th when hosts Poland face the 2004 winners Greece.

Ireland face a tough group, being drawn against Croatia, Italy and Spain.

Their first game is against reigning World and European champions Spain on Thursday June 14th.
