Neil Warnock says the hard work has only just begun after making his first signing of the summer.
Warnock announced defender Jason Pearce has his first signing on Friday on a four year deal and the Leeds boss says he is hoping to progress quickly with more signings as he looks to build a side capable of mounting a serious promotion push next season.
Speaking on the official website, Warnock said, "This is the hard work just starting.
"We`ve had some late nights and we`ve met quite a lot of players and agents. We spoke to two or three on Thursday. I`ve been at some clubs where I have done deals at home because I don`t want them to see the training ground or facilities. That is not the case here.
"One they see the facilities, they don`t want to leave!
"We`re hoping to get some deals done and hopefully we can progress quickly."
The Pearce deal ends a busy first week in the close season for Warnock.
On Wednesday, he announced his released and retained list with five players released from the club and a further six placed on the transfer list.
Reports on Friday suggest that one of those placed on the transfer list, Ramon Nunez, is a target for Yorkshire neighbours Doncaster Rovers.
