LUFC Warnock close to completing first signing

Leeds United boss Neil Warnock is hoping to complete his first signing of the summer on Friday.

Warnock spent Wednesday speaking to his current squad announcing his released and retained list and now he wants to get busy in the transfer market as he looks to build a squad over the summer capable of making a push for promotion next season.

The Leeds boss has indicated over the last few weeks that he was closing in on his first signing and he says he will announce the signing once it is completed.

Speaking on the official website , Warnock said, "I am hoping to make our first signing on Friday. There`s been a lot of speculation and I am not going to talk about individual names, but once it is done I will comment then."

Leeds are already being strongly linked with a number of players, with Portsmouth defender Jason Pearce believed to be close to signing for the club.
