Leeds United midfielder Adam Clayton is glad the season is over and he is looking forward already to making an impact in the championship next season.
Clayton has enjoyed his breakthrough season at Elland Road, playing in 46 of Leeds 50 games this season in all competitions.
The 23 year old is already looking forward to next season and says he cannot wait to return despite the season only finishing on Saturday.
Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Clayton said, "The season is now over and done with. Personally, for me it was a good season. I now have that behind me and we can kick on and try to get into the Premier League next season.
"I was sat bored yesterday and I really wanted to get back already. I am glad this season is over and we can all focus on making a more positive impact next season."
The midfielder is one of four players who have already been offered new deals at the club by manager Neil Warnock.
Clayton is out of contract in the summer of 2013 having signed in the summer of 2010 from Manchester City.
Warnock has promised major changes in the summer but none of the four players, Aidy White, Ross McCormack, Robert Snodgrass and Clayton have yet to sign new deals with the club.
The Leeds boss is expected to announce his retained list on Wednesday as he looks to start his rebuilding of the squad sooner rather than later for a sustained challenge in the championship next season.
