LUFC Robinson not part of Warnock's plans

Leeds United manager Neil Warnock says he is unlikely to sign on loan defender Paul Robinson.

Robinson spent the last two months of the season on loan at Elland Road from Bolton Wanderers and he is out of contract at the Reebok this summer.

The veteran defender had played in ten games for Leeds but missed the final game of the season with Leicester City on Saturday with a slight muscle injury. Warnock did not think it was fair to play him and risk further injury with the player out of contract soon and unlikely to be offered one at Elland Road.

Speaking on the official website, Warnock said, "He had a slight stiff muscle but I saw the Leigh Bromby injury last week and I felt it wasn`t right to play him.

"I don`t think I will be taking him next season and if that is the case then I didn`t want him getting injured.in a nothing game."

Warnock will announce his player retained list on Wednesday after speaking to the squad.

I'm dissapointed because it means he may end up on the field in our last three games of the season.

I am glad that Warnock has seen he isn't good enough. We all saw Danny Pugh wasn't good enough but Grayson still signed him.
