El Hadji Diouf has admitted he would be keen to move to Leeds United this summer, help the club win promotion to the Premier League, and insists there are no problems between him and Leeds boss Neil Warnock.
Sky Sports News reported yesterday that Leeds had held initial talks with the Senegal international who spent most of last season with relegated Doncaster Rovers.
Speaking to Sky Sports News , Diouf says he would like to sign for Leeds despite their being bad blood between the player and Neil Warnock in the past.
The pair fell out after Warnock accused Diouf of abusing Queens Park Rangers player Jamie Mackie, who was lying on the pitch with a broken leg.
The incident led to Warnock labelling Diouf a 'sewer rat.`
Diouf hit back at Warnock by calling him a big s**t but Diouf insists there is no problem between the pair. 'I know people have talked about the incident between me and Neil Warnock but it is in the past and is not an issue.
'I have the utmost respect for Neil Warnock and I'd be delighted to help Leeds gain promotion to the Premier League," Diouf told Sky Sports News.
The former African player of the year was also reportedly involved in a fracas inside the Elland Road tunnel following the final whistle of the game between Leeds United and Doncaster Rovers towards the end of February, which saw Police having to be called to sort out the disturbance.
