LUFC Warnock intending to loan out Taylor

Leeds United manager Neil Warnock intends to send youngster Charlie Taylor out on loan next season to improve his game.

Taylor made his fourth appearance for Leeds this season and just his second start against Peterborough on Saturday.

The 18 year old was at fault for the first goal after trying to play his way out of defence.

Warnock replaced the defender at half time and he believes he will learn from the mistake.

Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, Warnock said, "I hope he learns from today. When you are a defender, you have to defend when in defending situations. I was disappointed with the goal and I am sure he will not do it again."

He made his debut for Leeds as a 17 year old in August as a second half substitute against Bradford City in the Carling Cup and he also played in the second round clash at Doncaster Rovers as a second half substitute.

Taylor made his full debut when he started the Championship clash with Crystal Palace in September and it was his cross, which set up Ross McCormack for the opening goal of the game.

The academy product signed a three-year deal with Leeds last summer and Warnock is looking to send him out on loan next season to gain more experience of first team football. He needs to learn from his mistake and he needs to get some games. Next season I will loan him out somewhere and get him that physical and mental aspect. He is a great prospect and although he will be disappointed, he will do ok,"added Warnock.

Taylor enjoyed a month on loan with League Two side Bradford City in January where he made four appearances.

With nothing to play for he should be giving a few more a go. He says he has made his mind up with who stays and who goes. I think he will now revert back to the main first team players for the final games with something at stake for the opposition. I think Warnock will do with Taylor what Grayson did with Lees. He is only just over 18 so still got a lot of learning and building up to do. Get him out on a season long loan in League One or Two.
